The Beshtau company presented the first monitor in Russia on a domestic chip
Beshtau, a Russian electronics manufacturer, announces the release of a monitor based on its own scaler, built on a domestic chip developed by Option. The new device supports 2K resolution, 75 Hz refresh rate, and is equipped with three digital inputs, as well as eDP and LVDS outputs.
The history of the project began four years ago, when Option acquired an unfinished development that had serious potential. However, the product was still far away: large-scale engineering work, architecture adaptation, testing and software refinement were required. The Option and Beshtau teams took up the task with tenacity and brought the project to a full-fledged commercial device capable of competing in the market.
The key element of the new scaler is a chip designed by the Russian company Option, a specialized developer of chips for display solutions. Beshtau took on the tasks of integrating, testing and packaging the microcircuit, turning it into a fully functional scaler ready for use in the domestic monitor line.
“This project is an example of how technological partnership and hard engineering work make it possible to turn unfinished ideas into real products that can compete in the market,” said Oleg Osipov, co—founder of the BESHTAU Group.
The solution is aimed at computer equipment manufacturers interested in increasing the localization of their products, as well as government and corporate orders, where it is especially important to use products based on domestic electronic devices.
In the near future, Beshtau plans to start supplying the first batches of scalers as part of its own monitors.
